Overview: Tomomi can be a bit of an oddball at times, generally appearing very slow to catch on, and will usually end up being the butt of a lot of jokes. She's a lot more clever than she lets on, though, and as Spider-Girl, she uses that combined with some snark to get the best of her foes.

Abilities: Because of the Spider-Extract injected into her body by Garia, Tomomi has a range of spider-like powers at her disposal, including:- Wall-Crawling - Self-explanatory; allows her to stick to walls using her hands or feet
- Superhuman characteristics (strength, agility, reflexes, balance [though it's offset by her clumsiness], and durability are all greatly enhanced)
- Spider-Sense - An extrasensory "danger" sense that is triggered when major threats happen. It does not tell her the exact nature of it, but it triggers her reflexes to avoid said threat.
- Organic webbing - Can shoot webs from her her forearms to do a variety of things with them. Should she be unable to generate any webbing naturally, the Spider-Bracelet also has a supply, though it doesn't have the same functions as her organic webbing.
Finisher(s): Maximum Spider - Jumping toward the nearest vertical surface, Spider-Girl vaults forward and performs several flying kicks though her opponent, ensnaring them in a series of webs. History
Tomomi Kasai is probably someone who you wouldn't really see as an idol. Even at a young age, she was always clumsy and rather childish, so no one expected her to have aspirations to be an idol, let alone actually pass the auditions. However, everyone was genuinely surprised when she made her stage debut in Feburary 2006, being one of the founding members of Team K. Over the years, she built up her career, becoming good friends with fellow member (and eventual sub-unit member) Tomomi Itano, and became one of AKB's big players. Through all of this, she had failed to notice that someone was watching her...
One day after practice, Tomomi decided to go for a short little stroll around Akihabara when she stumbled across a mugging, which she attempted to stop. It was a futile attempt, though, and the perpetrator attacked her until she was near death. When she awoke a few days later, she found herself on a starship known as the Marveler, and met Garia, the man who was watching her. She learned that he had saved her life by injecting her with the Spider-Extract, enhancing her abilities and making them more spiderlike. Having been told of what she was chosen to do, Tomomi accepted the Spider-Bracelet and the mantle of Spider-Girl, taking on the responsibility that came with it.

Of course, she still had her usual nightly routine to do: eat dinner, take a shower, and get everything ready for the next day. But sleep is so tempting, too...
