Kokoro, by now, know about the signs as she gasped and ran up to Shuuji and jumped hoping to miss the strike as she went over him before thrusting her palm outwards and striking his exposed back.

Shuuji's eyes widened, surprised she read the move perfectly, his surprise only grew as he was struck in his back. Gasping out, his attack had missed and he had fallen to a knee. Despite being so well-trained even age took its toll sometimes, this was one of those times. "That... I think... is enough, dear Kokoro." He caught his breath, rising to his feet again.
"You've grown so much, in body, mind, and soul. I'm proud to call you my disciple." He turned, smiling warmly to her. "Your mother would also be proud of you."

Kokoro's eyes twinkled as she jumped up and down, "Really sensei? I'm so happy to hear that," she said with a smile on her face as she nodded.

"That boy... needs someone." Shuuji told her, "He's thick to the head with this desire for vengeance, and nothing I can say or do shall reach the boy. I recognize he's smart enough to care for himself, but I just don't want to see such a good soul be corrupt by such an ill desire." Shuuji took a seat on the ground, sighing, he looked a bit tired.

"He does," Kokoro agreed, "but it takes a special kind of person to get through someone like him, someone who has the patience and understanding to wait until the time is right to talk him out of it." Kokoro then saw that he was tired, "Are you alright sensei? You need to rest more," she said.

Kokoro nodded as she went and brewed some tea before coming back with a teapot and glass on a tray, "Here you go sensei," she said, "be careful it's hot."
