"It's true!" Alastor snapped his fingers, causing Momo to stop making shadow puppets and look towards him.
"Yes, sensei?" she asked.
"We need to find a Phantom for our new buddy here," he smiled, "Time to bust out Cappello!"
Momo nodded before reaching into her pink backpack and pulling out an ancient looking witch hat.
"Cappello's time to shine!" she giggled, sitting the hat atop her head.

Ryoga looked at the hat and shivered. "For some reason I feel like a big fat dude's about to run into this mine and tell me that I'm a wizard..."

Alastor titled his head, "What do you mean?"
Momo started poking the old worn out hat, again and again and again.
"Time to wake up, Cappello-chan!"
"Hmm?" stirred the talking hat, "I was dreaming...."
"About what?" asked Alastor, perfectly okay with a having a conversation with a magical talking hat.
"Nothing," it answered, "I'm a hat. I don't dream."

Ryoga looked at the hat for a moment and shrugged. "Y'know, if this was seven or eight months ago, I'd be freaked out. Unfortunately, my Phantom's a giant talking horse with wings..." he said, adjusting his Pegasus Driver on instinct.

"Why do we need to find him a Phantom?" Momo titled her head, "If he already has one?"
Alastor shook his head before giving his apprentice a slight karate chop to the head.
"I told you, most wizards have Phantoms inside of them."
"Even me?"
"Yes, even you."
"NOOOOOO!" Momo started running around frantically, "Help me, sensei! There's a Phantom inside of meeeee!!"

Ryoga, with a blank expression on his face, simply took out his Absorb ring and walked toward Momoko. "I can help with that..." he said, putting the ring on his finger as he stared at her.

Momo began to get all teary eyed, "Sen-sei! This man! He wants to moooolest me!"
Alastor stepped between Momo and Ryoga.
"You bastard!" he pointed an accusing finger at Ryoga, "We try to help you and in response you try to molest my under-aged protege?!"

Ryoga looked at Alastor with his still-blank expression. "I never said anything about that. Unfortunately, I'm into older women. I'm just sayin', if she doesn't want her Phantom... Maybe Pegasus Cross might have something to say 'bout that that'll benefit her..."

"Who said i didn't want my Phantom?" Momo swiftly wiped away her tears to glare at him, "Like Alastor-sensei said, my Phantom gives me magic and i love my magic therefore i love my Phantom. I was just surprised to hear it that's all."

Ryoga looked over at her. "So this whole time... You didn't realize you had a Phantom inside you? I mean, if the white mage spoke correctly, everyone sees their Phantom when they're at the brink of despair. And, I suppose this is just me, but shouldn't a mage talk to their Phantom from time to time to keep them from eating you?" he asked, scratching his head.
