Burn Baby Burn (Summoners, OPEN)

[Derek Hayes]

Slow day in Santa Fe. Derek grumbled, wrapping up another "fire juggling" act using his Will o' Wisps, the crowd he'd gathered too small for him to properly range among them, and... snag some extra income.

He considered just heading home, dismissing the wisps with a flick of his wrist.

[Courtney Jonas]

Some big magic had been detected downstairs. The Jonas siblings had responded by beaming down to the surface, and looking using the old-fashioned way: with eyes. Oliver's bracelet kept hold at 30 Chronons, keeping him safe enough to not be a walking time bomb. Whatever, or whoever, was doing magic was around here somewhere.

[Derek Hayes]

Derek wasn't aware he was being sought out, grumbling as he pulled out his lighter, flicking it on, and shutting it, then doing it again. "Too quiet around here." He mutters, rubbing the back of his neck.

[Courtney Jonas]

"Any ideas where he is?" Courtney asked.

"Negative." Oliver replied. "I got nothing. They can't be here."

"They were definitely here, though, unless there was someone else within a 1-mile radius of here doing magic."

[Derek Hayes]

Darek was quiet, before grumbling, giving flick of his wrist, as he summoned another Will o Wisp. "Go find somewhere to eat." He mutters, the little fireball taking off along the ground.

[Courtney Jonas]

Unfortunately, Courtney caught sight of the Will o' Wisp. "There!"

[Hanz Soliday]

"Mine...!" Hanz hissed, appearing from seemingly nowhere. His hand was raised toward the sky and his palm seemed to shine briefly. A Plasma Ball had appeared behind Courtney, and another one in front of the Will o' Wisp. "I smell something dirty...!"

[Derek Hayes]

The Will o' Wisp stops as the Plasma Ball cuts off its path, Derek now realizing something was up, and trying to head subtly for cover. Move like he didn't belong in the middle of this and he could get outta here...

[Courtney Jonas]

Courtney stopped short at the sight of the Plasma Ball. "What in the...." Oliver had seen it too, and tensed up, anticipating a battle.

[Hanz Soliday]

Hanz jumped into the shadows and clenched his glowing fist, running around and jumping from shadow to shadow. As soon as he felt he was in the perfect location, he gave the Plasma Balls an almost telepathic thumbs-up just before they exploded, creating a powerful blast and solar flare combination in front of Courtney and the Will o' Wisp.

[Derek Hayes]

Derek yelps a little in surprise as his Will o' Wisp gets obliterated, as he darts into an alleyway, leaning against the wall.

Should he call him? No, no this didn't seem to be something that dangerous.

[Oliver Jonas]

"DRAGON MAGIRED!" Oliver jumped in front of Courtney and transformed, taking the brunt of the blast for her. The two collapsed in a heap together.

[Hanz Soliday]

From the darkness rose two Photon Beings, shadowboxing for a short moment before rushing over toward Oliver and Courtney. A third one appeared near Derek, silently gazing at him through translucent eyes.

[Oliver Jonas]

"What are those things?" Oliver asked, dodging to the right.

"No idea. Long Live The Legion!" Courtney transformed herself and dodged as well.

[Derek Hayes]

Derek's eyes narrowed, and a hand came up, as a Fire Elemental blazed to life between him and the Being, before it attempted to "tackle" it.
