Burn Baby Burn (Summoners, OPEN)

[Hanz Soliday]

The two Photon Beings split up, running at Oliver and Courtney individually and punching at their torsos with powerful fists.

When the Fire Elemental charged for it, the Photon Being simply braced itself and punched straight at its head.

[Oliver Jonas]

"Darn!" Courtney cursed as she and Oliver were hit and thrown backwards. They landed hard, but drew their weapons and fired on the beings.

[Derek Hayes]

The Fire Elemental, meanwhile, took the punch, reforming around the being's fist with a crackling laugh, before lashing out with its fiery limbs.

[Hanz Soliday]

The Photon Beings took the shots like champions, but seemed unfazed by the attack. They walked toward the duo, creeping as the shooting had slowed them down.

The Photon Being creeped toward Derek as the Fire Elemental attacked it. As soon as it was close enough, it exploded, leaving behind a brilliant solar flare.

The Siblings Jonas got to their feet and walked backwards, firing on the beings as they creeped towards them.

[Derek Hayes]

The Fire Elemental, unfortunately, got blown away as Derek cursed, covering his eyes as he was temporarily blinded by the blast. "Oh to hell with this. EFREET!"

The resulting sound was a mix of tearing, and an explosion as, out of a fiery rend in the air, strode a towering figure, composed of flame.

[Hanz Soliday]

"You can stop trying to kill them, they're not real," said a voice behind the Jonas's. Hanz had appeared behind them, a hand outstretched. "But if you pay me the right price, I can make them go away," he offered.

As soon as Efreet had appeared, it was surrounded by 5 Photon Balls which spun around it, threatening to detonate at any moment.

[Oliver Jonas]

"Wait, we just had to pay you?" Oliver raised an eyebrow. "Okaaaay, I don't have any 21st-century currency, if that's what you want."

[Derek Hayes]

Efreet regarded the photon balls with an almost bored eye, before it formed a pair of fiery whips, lashing them at the spheres to obliterate them before it stepped out of the alleyway.

[Hanz Soliday]

"I accept items of high value as well," Hanz said as the Photon Beings continued to march forward. "I suggest you hurry."

The Photon Balls detonated as soon as Efreet made contact with them, created powerful solar flares and shockwaves as they did so.

[Oliver Jonas]

"High value? Uhhhh..." Oliver demorphed and rummaged around in his pockets. Courtney did the same. They dithered for a moment until Courtney pulled out a triangular, silver object.

"Bingo!" she held it out for Hanz to take. "It's a signal interpreter. Very hard to get."

[Derek Hayes]

Efreet, unlike the lesser summons, was able to shrug off the blasts, its "eyes" unaffected by light to blind them since, well, they were made of fire. No nerves to shock. As it left the alleyway, it looked around, sighting the two rangers, and Hanz, its whips burning trails on the ground as it moved.

Hanz took the object, looking it over for a minute before swiping his hand. The Photon Beings disappeared from existence. "What does it do?" he asked the two, his eyes focused on it. And then he felt the heat. He turned around, gazing upon the form of Efreet, a smile appearing on his face. "A rogue beast? Or perhaps another Summoner has appeared?" he asked himself, pocketing the small object he had just obtained. "If you two value your lives, start running. We need to get out of this constricted space so that I can fight that demon!" he declared as he turned tail and ran.

[Oliver Jonas]

"It can receive and interpre..." Courtney began to explain, but then he ran off. "How rude."

[Derek Hayes]

Darek grumbled to himself, rubbing his eyes as Efreet looked back at him, then strode further out into the street.

Darek followed a moment or so later, now that his eyes had recovered from that flash. "Y'see anything, Efreet?"

The monster rumbled, the sound echoing of crackling flame as it watched Hanz.
