"I see..." Dahteste speaks in half-interest, hand on the knob now. "You should look into taking some sort of martial arts, then." Her mind already made up on the matter, she turns the knob and opens the door.

"Haha well I don't think martial arts can help me on certain things," he chuckled before he saw the woman opened the door, "wait!" He shouted but it was too late as the door burst open and an unholy roar echoed throughout the building before spectres began surrounding them.

Dahteste sprung for the knife on her belt, bringing it to bear in front of her. "I will send you back to the shadows you crawled out from!" She glances back to Clive and Luna a moment. "This is what happens when you let evil lie in wait."

"Well forgive me if I've been trying to find the blasted thing for 3 months," Clive retorted as he turned into Kamen Rider Judgement, "I'll handle it from here."

"I can fi-" Her sentence is cut short as a spectre lurches forward, only to be met with a deft slice of her knife, somehow cutting straight through.
"I can fight."

"This is no ordinary fight," Clive said, "only those with magical powers can defend themselves against the shades," he said as he slashed several of them in quick succession stepping towards the book with each slash.

"Like I said..." Dahteste reaches for the stone on her neck, light seeming to seep in from nowhere and everywhere at once as she transforms into the Eclipse Shaman. There is a burst of magical fire that cuts through another spectre as she swings a tomahawk into it, the fire itself seems to put the rest of the spectral creatures on edge.
"I can fight."

"Agreed," Clive said as he sent a flurry of fireballs that burnt the spectre before dashing for the book.

Dahteste watched him go, moving to block the way from another that tried to give Clive chase, swinging the tomahawk down hard into it's torso.

Clive tried to grab the book, but a strong force prevented him, he then began chanting as the book frizzled and sparked.
