Las Vegas... a strange contrast to it's soothing desert surroundings. A city of sin and darkness, despite the neon and friendly atmosphere in it's streets.
Dahteste never was too fond of the place. All the mock Indian aesthetics and perchance for crime and violence crawled deep under her skin... Still, it was a good place to start her life's work. Plenty of drunkards and wounded walked into her office home, plenty of crime and violence to resolve. Monsters and bad spirits alike seemed to be drawn to the city.
She checked the cheap clock on the wall of her "office", a converted living room of the crappy apartment she is living in. About an hour until she'd close up, and then her real job would begin.

Clive wiped his forehead as the heat got to him, he didn't expect Las Vegas to be this hot, however he came here to obtain what could be the actual Lesser key of Solomon, in which case he needed to get hold of it definitely. He could scarcely believe his ears when he heard that the real copy might be in Las Vegas, but then again it would make sense to hide it here as no one would give two hoots if someone accidentally summoned a demon...even if it would be inconvenient for him to stop it. "Blast it all," Clive muttered, "where is that infernal book?"

Time passed... still no sign of a customer. Giving up for the night, Dahteste closed shop early, and readied to set out for the night. Knife tucked discreetly in her boot, she left the apartment to wander the streets...
Soon though, she came upon a man that seemed... different. The way the wind flowed around him suggested something... familiar. Magical, definitely. She'd have to keep an eye on this one. Keeping her distance, the man known as Clive was now being watched.

Clive continued to curse himself as he looked around for any sign of magical trace, anything that might lead him to the book, he didn't want it to summon demons though it would be beneficial for his own cause. But if someone that wasn't strong minded got to it...well the results would be catastrophic as he finally got a scent of it and quickly hurried to the location.
Meanwhile Luna would be following Dahteste close behind, suppressing her magical aura as much as possible, she was stalking her because she was stalking her master. She didn't know what the girl wanted, but if she was going to hurt master she wasn't going to let her do it.

Dahteste sighs, hurriedly following the man through the throngs of civilians. What had him in such a hurry, anyway? He didn't seem to be evil... but with all the people around, it was hard to read what the spirits would say of the man.
Still, the feeling of being watched herself started to creep slowly up her spine. She'd have to pay it no mind, or else risk losing track of her target.

Luna continued to follow th girl as Clive went into a jog as he soon arrived at a ruined building, "Here? Seriously?" he questioned before shaking his head and quickly going in.

"..." Dahteste sighs, watching the man slip in. He'd be easier to track now, and at least now she'd have the chance of losing her follower. Waiting a few moments before she slips inside, she braces herself for whatever she was bound to walk into.

Luna followed closely behind while Clive walked cautiously into the building, the soft whispers of demonic entites bouncing off the walls, he was definitely in the right place.

How did she manage to miss this place? Such evil energy could not be left ignored now. Crouching low, Dahteste draws her knife, following the mage much more closely now in hopes that he could lead her straight to the source.
However... part of her did hope that this man had the same intentions as her. Now if she could just get her own tail off her back.

Clive continued to climb upwards, the demonic whispers intensifying as she groaned from the malice radiating from a room upstairs, Luna continued to follow the girl feeling uneasy about the building before taking out her wand. When Clive arrived to the top floor there was only one door there as the whispering stopped as Clive carefully approached the door...

Taking a deep breath, Dahteste steps out of her hiding spot, knife drawn and ready.
"Halt." Her voice is calm, yet firm. "Who are you to hunt what evil lies beyond that door?"

Clive turned towards her, "Pardon?" he asked as Luna jabbed her wand at the girl's back.
"Do not move," she said in a firm voice.

Dahteste hrmphs, obeying the woman for the moment.
"You really do not want to do that." She warns, looking back to Clive. "I am going to give you one chance. Who are you, and why are you here?"
Big words, for the Apache with a wand at her back.

"It's ok Luna," Clive said, "I'm Clive Edingburgh, I'm a magician on the side of Light. Bebind this door is the real copy of the Lesser Key of Solomon," he said, "and I'm here to retrieve it."

She looks him over a moment, reading his expression. Satisfied, she drops her stance, tucking the knife into her belt. "Then you have nothing to fear. But why wouldn't you just destroy the object?"
