"Um, wrong term. It's Precious, not Artifact." Camden said. The host pulled itself out of the pile of destroyed slot machines and roared, picking one up and hurling it at Kakeru.

Kakeru swung up his leg, catching the machine with a gator maw, and sending it back with a jump and an aerial spin. "Sorry mate, but this isn't a Precious. It's an Artifact, the Lady Luck Dice, originally owned by Bill Hickock. And my superiors'd give me hell if I let you guys run off with an Artifact, so if you don't mind, I'm claiming these babies."

"....There's a difference?" Camden asked, scratching the chin of his helmet. The host caught the machine and crushed it, before launching another machine at Camden.

"A few. But you should focus on the battle first. Heads up, red boy." His stance shifted again, as he swapped his arm card from Serpent to Garm, and launched a volley of fireballs at the host.

"I have a name, you know, Card Boy." Camden replied, zipping out of the way. The host grabbed a few slot machines and used them as impromptu shields against the fireballs, charging towards Kakeru.

"And I'm sure it's real pretty, but now ain't the time for introductions, so just focus!" He yelled, leaping into the air and using an energy gator to cling to the ceiling.

The host barreled right past underneath him, crashing into another bank of slot machines. "It's in my common interest to do just that." Camden said, grinding his left foot into the ground, like a bull preparing to charge.

Kakeru slipped out another card, this time swapping his legs for Zebra, and, as he began to fall, kicked off from the ceiling, and flipping into an electrified axe kick aimed at the host.

The kick connected with the back of the host's head, knocking it to the ground. Camden zipped in, delivering a few high-speed roundhouse kicks to it's face. It rose slowly as Camden got away, dazed. "You can have the finishing move." Camden said, gesturing toward the host.

Taking stance, Kakeru reached down, pressing the Final Gamble button on his Shifter. With a slight shift in stance, his visor glowed bright blue for a split second, before a chilling howl escaped his lips, freezing air whipping up around him, and freezing the host quickly from the feet up.

The host was frozen in place. "That it?" Camden asked, pulling out the Hunter Magnum and Expedition Multitool.

Kakeru sighed, undoing his transformation. "Put away the weapon. He's currently incapacitated, but I'm going to have him brought in to reverse whatever the dice did to him. All Artifacts have a downside, and he got one of the nastier ones, but we've got some others that we can use to undo the damage." He pulled out his small black cell, sending three messages, one for medical prep, one for a chopper, and one to tell Artie that the Artifact has been secured.

"Oh, okay." Camden said, holstering both devices and undoing his transformation. He was a little miffed that he had lost the item, but this guy seemed to know what he was doing. He approached the frozen host, examining him quizzically.

"Don't get too close. He's not in a deep freeze, just enough to keep him still. Body heat might thaw him enough for him to break free, and I'm too drained to refreeze him." He sighed, clearly fatigued.

Camden stepped back. "Wow. You really know your shit when it comes to this, don't you?"
