Ian didn't stay still, he moved, drawing back on the bowstring to summon a water arrow. He kept moving for now instead of taking aim.

Yao began circling Ian, keeping his bow trained on him.
Laurel was getting close.

Ian popped up, loosing his arrow.

Yao moved an inch to the left, making use of his enhanced reflexes and dodging the arrow, loosing his own toward's Ian's chest.

"What?" Ian hissed, barely avoiding the arrow as he went behind a tree.

Yao whipped out another arrow and nocked it, drawing his bow and maintaining his aim, all within about 2 seconds.

Ian kept moving, coming out from behind a tree to fire another shot.

Yao spun to the left, dodging the next shot and firing another of his own, sending it at Ian's right eye.

He swung his bow up, knocking the arrow aside, but just barely. Looks like this guy was more skilled.

Yao had another arrow out and ready, bow drawn, when Laurel's voice rang out. "Yao! Stop!" Laurel said, emerging to his left, crossbow at the ready.

Yao looked to Ian, then to Laurel, and lowered the bow, relaxing the arrow. Laurel lowered her crossbow, looking to Ian. "Forgive him, he gets fired up."
