Three years ago, the insectoid alien armada known as the Universal Annihilation Army Warstar launched their assault on Gosei World. The Gosei Angels came to arms, and the four tribes fought back. The Seaick Tribe fought at the sea, while the Skick Tribe fought in the air against the Warstar armada. Meanwhile the Landick and Firick Tribes fought on the ground as the main military force.

In the ensuing battle, many Angels lost their lives. The Firick Tribe was wiped out due to their fierce combat, while the Landick suffered heavy losses as well. However, the Warstar forces were repelled from Gosei World, suffering heavy losses. However, three leaders survived; Emperor Monsth Drake, Gyōten'ō of the Supernova, and Deinbaruto of the Morning Star. Dereputa of the Meteor was a celebrated war hero and raised to be Drake's right hand. He sent Gyōten'ō and Deinbaruto out to attack other locations, while Drake and Dereputa worked on their own.

After the war ended, Gosei Angels began to go to Earth again for training. Four novice Angels - two Landick and two Skick - along with two mature Angels of the Seaick Tribe were on Earth three years after the war, at which point Drake, Dereputa, and Drake's left hand and strategist - Buredoran of the Comet - returned and launched their assault on the Heaven's Tower, planning on destroying it and setting their sights on Earth, instead of Gosei World.

Playing on the animosity between Tribes, the Warstar expects an easy win, and have already killed the elder Seaick; the oldest Gosei Angel among the Earthbound Angels. Stranded on Earth, the Angels must ally and overcome their Tribal barriers to repel the Warstar and keep the Earth safe, as is their fledgling duty.
