Specter grumbled. This was taking too long.
He had been chasing a certain criminal across two solar systems for over a month now. Usually it was over by now and he was allowed to move on with his life. He twitched. This guy was pissing him off. Big time.
"We've lost sight of the enemy ship!" announced Lily at the Grand Birth's controls.
Graham's twitching increased. This wasn't going to end well for that bastard. He was going to make sure of it.
"There's only one planet capable of supporting life around here," she explained, "It stands to reason that is where he is seeking shelter."
"Then get to it.." he scowled, which was pretty much his default expression.
"Oh, Graham," said Lily, "There's something i've forgot to tell you."
"What?"
"The Bureau wants this mission to suceed..so..."
"Go on."
"They're sending in backup," she explained, "A young and upcoming Sheriff, designated Artemis."
He nearly ripped his own tongue out. Those bastards! Where do they get off sending him backup?!

The newly repaired Union ship proceeds in space, heading for the world ahead. She was ordered to meet Sharivan and his assistant there. This was fine with Jya, she could use something to do.

"We should be landing on..." Lily scratched her head, "You know I can't find much information on this planet. Not even it's name."
"It matters not to me," he responded, "If anything gets in my way, i'll demolish it. Nothing's going to stop me from ringing that bastard's neck!"
Lily nodded. She tried to keep conversation to a minimum when he got in such a mood.
The Grand Birth was too large of a ship to actually land on the planet's surface so the two of them were forced to take a shuttle instead. They quickly descended onto the surface only to find themselves surrounded by thick jungle.

Her ship, not named so far, achieves orbit, and after tracking their signal, she beams down to the planet's surface, appearing in the middle of the thick jungle. Luckily, she could track Sharivan and his assistant...

Graham leaned against a tree, eyes closed and arms crossed, while Lily kept an eye out for this Space Sheriff Artemis.

Jya makes her way through the jungle, brushing limbs and brush out of the way with her telekinetic talents. Soon, she approaches them...

He heard a rustling in the jungle, whipped out his gun, and pointed it in Jya's direction.
"Stop right there. Identify yourself now or die."

"Jouchaku!" Jya responded instinctively, doing her pose and summoning her armor quickly. "Does that answer your question?"

"Graham! Lower your gun!" Lily pleaded, "She's our ally, not our enemy!"
She then bowed in Jya's direction, "I apologize for my partner's behavior. He's easily excited."
Graham grumbled, nodded, and slowly put his gun away.
"Your Artemis?" he said, clearly not impressed.

"Thank you." Artemis gives to Lily, bowing her head. Turning back to Graham she shrugged. "Thankfully I didn't need your approval to don this suit." came the retort. "I'm here as your backup, let's go."

"I was getting tired of the small talk anyway," he muttered before heading off deeper into the jungle in search of their quarry.
Lily followed soon after, wishing she had worn more appropriate clothing for such a venture.

Artemis follows, keeping pace with Lily, enough to help her if she needed it. For some reason she felt like being closer to the girl, but didn't immediately know why.

"Sorry about his crabby mood," Lily said when she was sure Graham was out of earshot, "We've been chasing this guy for nearly a month. No breaks. Enough to make anyone go nuts."

"No problem." Artemis replied with a smile under her helmet. "I'd rather walk with you anyway. Your mood brightens this somber atmosphere." she gave, referring to the jungle. "I'll do what I can."

"Thanks," she smiled, "This may sound a little embarrassing, but i'm really glad you exist. The fact that there's a girl Sheriff around kicking butt and taking names is pretty awesome."
