Jade was bored out of her skull. She paced around the coffee shop, staring at a drawing tablet. She would stop every so often and take otu a stylus. But the second she would get close to putting pen to digital paper, she would sigh and put it back. She'd then start the ritual again. She had probably done this at least nine times in the last half hour. Jade was getting annoyed at her artist's block. She wanted to draw to break up the boredom of the day, but had no ideas.
Jade's whole day had been like this. Normally when she had no ideas for what to draw she'd go for a drive in her Bently. But her car was in the shop, and traffic was horrible today, so that idea was out. She pulled out the battery for her Deinoschaser, debating using that. She shrugged, shoving it back into her pocket.
Noah wasn't likewise unoccupied. He had found himself a pretty blonde, and the two seemed to be quite into each other. Noah stopped payign attention to Jade's pacing about five minutes after meeting the pretty blonde. The blonde also gave up watching Jade pace eventually as well, focusing more intently on Noah.
