Most people came to Vegas to play the tables, try their luck against dealers, other players, even machines.
Darian... wasn't most people. He was sitting at one of the slot machines, looking the machine over thoughtfully, before putting in another dollar coin, and pulling the lever.
As he watched the machine whir away, he glanced at Hunter Carbuncle, who was resting across his shoulders, and with some magic, was masked as a normal cat, who he'd explained was his lucky charm. And housebroken. It'd taken a lot of doing to get the PlaWeapon in.
"Whaddya think, 'Buncle?" Darian mused, mostly to himself, as Carbuncle looked at the slot machine disinterestedly. "I've got Adrian's notes. With the right materials I COULD make another of you guys. I'd think you'd be more excited."
Carbuncle just looks him in the eyes... and yawns.

Of course, the casino's atmosphere wouldn't be complete without the presence of Tristan Gallant. Looking around, he saw a few people playing cards, roulette, and...was that a PlaMonster? How did that get in there? And for that matter, who owned it? Tristan assumed the guy at the slot machines. It was to that man he walked over.

Darian, unaware of Tristan's approach, was still examining the slot machine, getting a better idea of how it worked. On the other hand, Carbuncle lifted its head, looking at Tristan as the effect masking it as a normal cat faded, the magic stone in its forehead glowing as it "sniffed" at Tristan, the stone probably reacting to the Wizard's rings.

Darian blinked, looking over as he was spoken to, while the cat-size Carbuncle hopped up on top of the slot machine. Darian looked up at the PlaWeapon, and his eyes widened a little. "Carbuncle, stop ditching the mask." He muttered, as the PlaWeapon just looked down at him.
Darian just sighed, turning to face Tristan. "Seeing as you're not freaking out, I'm guessing you're one of the wizards here in Vegas?"

The hooded, long-coated man walked into the Casino. Vegas...it was a legendary location for the humans that wished to gamble...and try their luck. He was unconcerned with such matters. The senses of the One Ring told him that Mages were here. His trek here had involved seeking out White Wizards first...obtaining the magic stones he needed, carefully concealed on his form..
The long-coat's sleeves concealed his rings for now, and the coat itself hid the hand buckle, as he headed for the two mages.

Darian chuckled a little, offering a hand. "Darian Silas, Wizard and Artificer. Nice to meet you."
Carbuncle, meanwhile, turned its head, looking directly at Kai as the Wizard approached, the stone in its forehead glowing again as it picked up the varied stones and rings on him.

The figure looks up just enough, part of his face shrouded by shadow, as his black and gold eye, along with the violet eye (For he was heterochromatic), studied them with a glare, taking in the design of the Plamonster. He wanted one, like carbuncle, to start with.

Troy sat nearby, losing on his machine and getting angry, shouting at it a bit, but he kept his anger in check. It wouldn't be good for him to do something stupid. He really didn't care right now about the other mages; he was too focused on his gambling.

Darian glanced at Kai, as Carbuncle perched on his shoulder again. "Ah, I live here now, as of recently. Set up a shop, actually. Everyone needs something crafted for 'em, right?"
He hmed softly at Kai's answer, though. "Whaddya need with mages?" He smiled, leaning back against the machine he'd been playing at.
