History
Ryan comes from a family seeped in tradition. As the third-born son, he was thrust into a lot of responsibility, and he absolutely hated it. He wasn't cut out to be part of the Leo bloodline. His older brothers were more cut out for the role. Grudgingly, he was forced to accept his role in the family. Normally, Leos wouldn't give out their great amount of money to charity, but Ryan donated a small proportion of his inheritance to start a children's home.
The Leos became one of the first financial backers of the ATLANTIS project during its inception, and Ryan was selected as their representative. When the AI went rogue and attacked, he became involved in the original design and testing of the NEXT team gear. During a test of the NEXus Mode Function for the silver suit, the gear malfunctioned and became stuck in NEXus mode.

"It's a green on the NEXus mode test." A static-y voice in Ryan's ear said.
"Roger that. Activating." Ryan slotted another card into the large gold lion-shaped phone, and hit a four digit code. He stuck it back in the belt and silver energy swirled around the costume, adding extra armour and a great lion's head on the front.
"Hold up!" the voice said, half-shouting. "The crystal's giving off energy spikes! Disengage!"
Ryan took the phone out again and hit the cancel button, but nothing happened. He tried again, nothing. A third time. The suit finally disappeared. "What was that?" he asked aloud.
"Looked like something went wrong." the voice replied. "We'll need to examine the device further until more testing can be done."
