Busters Rewrite

I've considered this with other Sentai and Rider in the past, but the retool is what gets to me (and it's a fun enough Sentai to do).

I want to rewrite Go-Busters. Not because it's bad (I'd do Decade or Gokaiger in that case, which I will someday do if I can get people to help), but because I love it, and there are some things that could use refinement (Escape exists really only for sexual appeal/fanservice, I'm sure).

If anyone had any input they wanted to give, please give it. Things like (As Night mentioned) Hiromu being afraid of chickens. I actually am getting rid of that for something else, for instance

Make it a fear of something like fire. Something that could actually be a legitimate fear and not just something slightly above a running joke.

What's wrong with being afraid of chickens? It causes a critical error, and at that point makes as much sense as anything, and is much easier to avoid in a fight than fire or sharp things or whatever.

That's what makes it interesting. A fear of fire would present interesting wrinkles along the road, and a fear of chickens is just utterly retarded. Coming up with a legit reason for a chicken fear is all but impossible, unless he's Link and attacked a chicken one too many times.

I'm actually changing Hiromu to freezing up when he's scared. Canonically, it's when he's frightened his freezes. I'm changing that. Removing the chicken phobia, and making him confident and stuff, but also have doubts. I mean, make him freeze in battle. He's going to be afraid. He knows they can win, but when Enter starts doing so well, he'll start to wonder if they really can save everyone (the episode where Enter uses people as hostages while he steals all that steel or whatever comes to mind), and give him some trouble in the field.

It'll be a nice story arc for him.

Enter/Escape as Beet and Stag initially

Kuroki becomes a temporary Beet after getting it back from Enter, though Jin later appears and becomes the permanent Beet

Enter eventually brings out VagBeet

When Enter steals the 04 blueprints, he steals the data for Beet/Stag, prototype suits. When Escape appears, they both use the suits. Eventually the EMC recovers them, unsure of what to do with them. Kuroki uses Beet for some time with a temporary anti-virus to let him use the suit. Jin later appears as the more permanent user

Rivalry with Hiromu

Metaroid from movie is “Delete” in a Metaroid body, rather than human avatar

Enter and Escape pilot the Delta Megazords as Beet and Stag

Ace destroyed, LT-06 replaces it

Enetan gets used

Hiromu freezes when he’s afraid now, no more chicken fears. His fear can overcome him when having to deal with the fact that Enter is targeting civilians and stuff like that

Escape has a purpose and isn't just a sex object, like she's supposed to be for viewers

Then ditch the ridiculous literal-freezing entirely. If you want serious, go for grim, and ditch the civilian powers entirely while you're at it.
