Overview:
Yuuga is an idealist, believing that anyone can be saved, that any enemy can be defeated, and that anything can be solved. This is because he knows that he’s doing a good job for the people of Japan, and he’s sure that the good intentions and his Rescue Soul can be of a big help. He wants to save everyone he can, and will do anything, no matter what the cost, but that causes him to think of Youko alone if he would die, which causes problems.

He’s a quick thinker, smart, and strong in combat and body, good with his sword and hand to hand combat. He believes that he can defeat any enemy, but in that belief he sometimes overlooks pure strength and the fact that good doesn’t always win. He has a soft spot for women and the weak, and often looks with lonely eye at lovers or couples.

He holds it up into the air and the Jet Caliber shouts ‘Take Off!’ as his as a purple falcon appears behind him and forms his armor.

History

He is the older brother of Youko. He was born into a middle class home, but their father passed away because of his work at sea. Their mother gave them up for adoption when she fell into depression.

In the foster system, they got out pretty soon and were all adopted into the Bara family. They were taken care of well, but didn’t foster strong bonds with the family. They had good relationships, but their relationships to each other were stronger. They have respect and love for the Baras, but wouldn’t go to them for money, or things like that.

When Youko turned eighteen, Yuuga invited her to live with after he obtained a job at Rescue Fire as the new Fire 4. Yuuga took Youko in because of her inability to find good work, even though he wasn’t always around to see her.

Yuuga began to spend long times at the UFDA, training, even though he wanted to see his sister. She knew why he was gone, and encouraged him to do all the training and work he could. He had to be able to save people, so he needed to be in the best condition he could be.

He found out about the previous Fire 4, who had been killed in the line of duty when a metal beam had fallen on him and he had burned inside of his armor as the cooling system was destroyed. He swore to Youko that he would live, and continued to go to emergencies constantly, never having problems.

Yuuga’s recently been finding more time off, so at least he can do some things outside of work for now, with Youko’s approval, as she seems to have found another way to occupy her time.

Of note is that two years ago he began a relationship with a woman named Yuka, but she was murdered. Ever since he’s been in a state of depression.

Overview:
Youko is a good and caring woman, but who doesn’t think of herself too highly. She’s in the care of her brother, and doesn’t really like it. She wants to be able to take care of herself, but doesn’t like the modeling that she does on occasion, thus preventing her ideal of taking care of herself, since that could do it. She’s smart and well educated, who is there for her friends and likes making new ones.

She’s curious of Zero One, but loves him, and would only like to know more about what he does and what he is, but she wonders sometimes if it’s best that she doesn’t know, which Zero One tells her on occasion when she asks him about things. She doesn’t mind not being told, if it’s for her safety, as she believes it to be.

History

One day when she was coming home from modeling, an AI system in a construction machine was hacked. It began to lash out, and almost killed her, if not for the arrival of Zero One. The Phone Braver shut down the AI and restored it to normal, and was about to leave when Youko stopped him. She thanked him, but Zero One ignored her. She saw that he was damaged and tried to help him, but he told her to stay away.

Ignoring him, she went to him and tied a strip of cloth from her skirt around the damaged portion. Zero One was surprised by that, and that she cleaned him and was very sincere and genuine about everything. Zero One left, but returned the next day and found her.

Zero One said he was going to remain with her for a short period of time. That period stretched to months, as he truly began to like her, and she became a true Buddy to him. He would never admit it, but he had found the ideal person to partner with, even if she wasn’t a partner in the traditional sense of a Phone Braver.

She remains unaware of what Zero One truly is, and what he really does; work for Under Anchor as an autonomous Phone Braver. But she is very happy with how their relationship currently is.

She fell to her knees and looked at the black, walking cellphone before her. His face stared back at her, but it didn’t speak. He turned to walk away, but she reached out, touching his back.

“What?” he demanded.

“Your leg…,” she said.

He glanced down at his right leg. It was sparking, part of the plate peeled away, wiring exposed. “What of it?” he questioned.

“Can you walk well?” she asked.

“I can,” he answered, “I can get where I need to be.”

“You don’t need my help…ok,” she said, sitting back, “But, can you turn around?”

“Why?” Zero One questioned.

“Please?”

He turned to her. He watched as she tore a strip of cloth off of her skirt and reached out, wrapping it around his damage. Zero One didn’t flinch or do anything, though he might be hesitant. She was genuine; he had trust in her, even if he didn’t know who she was.

She finished tying it, and then leaned over some more, wiping off his screen with her sleeve, taking some of the dirt off of it from the incident. Zero One didn’t know what to think.

“There,” she said with a smile, “That’s the least I can do for you.”

“Human, what is your name?” Zero One questioned.

“Tama, Youko,” she said.

“Youko…,” he turned away and started to walk off without another word. She watched him go and came back to her feet. He spoke as he walked, “I am Zero One.”

“Zero One…,” she said softly, letting him leave.

Type Of Mecha: Rescue Vehicle

Motif: Falcon, jet
Abilities: Flight, ice missiles, ropes/grappling equipment, and some other safety based equipment that can be launched/deployed. Its Final Rescue is Aurora Break, which sends a winding pathway of ice/aurora energy out to wrap around the target. His Dash 4 is launched, drives across the path, and on fire, crashes into the bound target.

Name: Zero One (Phone Braver 01)
Appearance: Mobile mode; a black cellphone with a large bottom (arms and legs folded in) in Compact Form.
Personality: 01 comes off as uncaring at times, but has a deep care for Youko. He would do anything for her, though would never actually admit it. He prefers not to speak of his work to her, nor tell her anything for her own good, even though it hurts him. He finds her to be an almost ideal partner, and a friend. A true friend. He feels that this bond may be the closest thing a Phone Braver can feel to love, though of course would never admit it. He likes to come off as cool and composed, especially to other Bravers, and has a condescending nature with them.
Abilities: Like any Phone Braver, the ability to be used as a cellphone and use all functions (mail, internet, etc.), the ability to switch back and forth, and the ability to do things like trace calls, find phone numbers from being given a time and location if someone was making a call or receiving one.

• Crack Sequence; the ability to quickly work through coding and whatever else there is. Perfect for use against hackers and the like, to undo their damage in moments.
  
• Parallel Decentralization Link; for two Bravers. Not relevant as of yet, but forbidden and dangerous.
  
• 01 has a distinction of being a skilled combatant and being durable, even able to use surprise to take down humans, if need be. He’s also very skilled with Demolition and the buzzsaw attachment.

Oh, note: Youko and Zero One. Zero One has a real partner in Under Anchor, but goes between them. He likes how Youko treats him, but does missions with his real partner. Under Anchor and his partner let it fly because the partner is consenting, and Zero One doesn't do anything stupid, or let on anything, and they view Youko as harmless.
