Once they got out of earshot, Raina sighed, falling lightly back against the wall. "I feel like this was a mistake."

"You remember what happened." Raina said, a tear coming to her eye. "The stubborn fool kept coming back, even though I had pushed him out of the way and protected him...I wasn't quick enough."

He wiped the tear away, "If anyone is to blame, it's me. For my actions as End," he told her softly, "Not you. Let her blame me, since it is my blame."

She hugged him tightly. "But it shouldn't all be put on you. End's separate, now....and I won't have to hold back."

Would she have held back regardless against him? She only saw him as a monster before, not a human, he was sure. She'd have no idea of how the Avatars worked.
He put his arms around her, "Let me take this burden," he told her.

She didn't know the thoughts going through his head, and looked up at him, nodding softly. "Just...be careful. And lean on me if you need to, I'll support you."
