The shower-based machine enemy and a group of Grinders attacked at the town. It wasn't doing much, other than keeping back and letting the Grinders attack. Alicia was the first one to get there, transforming as she slid her card across her buckle. She lifted her Blaster and fired on the Grinders, moving in on the enemy machine, wary of it.

the next to arrive was Ryan, transforming and firing on the machine too.

Alicia turned as she summoned her Claw, "Ryan?" she asked, slashing through a Grinder.

"Yes, that is who I am." Ryan fired more pot-shots at Grinders.

"I thought it would be easy alone," she commented, "But thanks for the help."
She ran at the leader, slashing. It kicked her claw away and returned a punch, knocking her back.

"No worries." he said, jumping and firing on the machine.

It was kept back by Ryan's fire. Alicia moved in during that time, slashing it across the chest. As she drew back to slash again, but a mist came from the nozzles on the enemy machine, stunning Alicia and knocking her back.

Ryan converted his weapon to Sword Mode and ran into the mist, shielding himself with an arm.

The machine fled instead of staying, leaving Alicia on the ground where she had fallen.

Alicia's suit faded from her body. She slowly came up to her feet, feeling the pain.
