Overview: Sayumi Michishige is the leader of the popular J-Pop Idol group known as "Morning Musume" which often has rather light-hearted competition against similar and larger Idol group, "AKB48". Along with her co-leader, best friend, as well as partner; Reina Tanaka, they make up the two "Shadows of Ikazuchi"--a pair of modern-day Shinobi who are the last known practitioners of "Ikazuchi Style Ninjutsu". While she stands as the admirable leader of the Morning Musume group, she seems rather self-obsessed with her intent towards the preservation of the legacy of Ikazuchi. She really cares for her partner, Reina, and would throw aside her goals if anything ever came to endanger her one true friend.

History
Born on July 13, 1989, in the Yamaguchi Prefecture of Japan (Ube to be specific); Sayumi was a young girl who loved music, having a developing admiration for the other Idols around her at the time during her childhood. As she grew older she would aspire to become like the Idols she admired so much. In the year of 2003, she would actually audition for Morning Musume, and despite receiving a comment that her singing was "Weak" she managed to join. She would debut in Morning Musume alongside several other newcomers, one of them being Reina Tanaka, who would quickly become a fast friend as well as her beloved "Partner-in-crime".
Although there was more to her life than the life of a simple Idol; prior to joining Morning Musume, she would spend Summers in the company of her Great-Grandfather, who was actually one of the last few remaining members of the "Ikazuchi Sect" or more officially known as the "Ninja Academy of Ikazuchi". In the company of her Great-Grandfather she would learn lessons and studies about the Ikazuchi Style and their way of shadow, the "Code of Thunderous Shadow". Shortly after joining Morning Musume however, she found out that her Great-Grandfather had passed away, following his passing however he left behind a set of gifts for Sayumi, as she had completed her "studies" prior to his passing, making her at the time the sole surviving upholder of the Ikazuchi Style.
When Sayumi had uncovered the items that her Great-Grandfather had left her behind she discovered that it was a set of equipment; yet the thing was that it was for not just one person however but for two. Thus, Sayumi required to find an apprentice who could take up the mantle of the second set she uncovered. Fate would have it that she would find her apprentice quickly. Sayumi became the "Crimson Lightning; KabutoRaiger" and fought against several Kaijin who would appear and cause chaos in where she lived, one case the Kaijin attempted on the life of her friend Reina. Sayumi managed to rescue Reina, but in the process she found out about Sayumi's secret. Thus from that point on; Sayumi took in Reina and taught her everything her Great-Grandfather had taught her and made a Ikazuchi Ninja out of Reina.
Having now created a team known as the "Gouraigers", Sayumi and Reina proceeded to balance their lives between their job as Idols and their duty as the last upholders of the Ikazuchi Style. Sayumi's intentions becoming somewhat twisted, having gone from a noble hero in the shadows, to now becoming somewhat tainted by her own pride as she wishes to prove the superiority of the Ikazuchi Style over all other forms of Ninjutsu. Sayumi going on to found the group known as the "Shadows of Ikazuchi"--a group led by both herself and Reina--and consisting of various shinobi-in-training that Sayumi has recruited. For what purpose? As heroes or as villains? Its all a mystery, for Sayumi's intention of proving ninja superiority can take her down a path of good, as well as evil.

"He's running." Sayumi was standing on a rooftop, scanning out into the darkness of night as the full moon hung high above in the blank midnight sky. Her eyes narrowed as she smiled, "Quite fast too! I never thought I'd run into a Kaijin who was actually terrified of me." She couldn't help but emit a bit of a giggle. "It almost makes me feel a bit bad that I have to kill him." She commented, closing her eyes and smiling wider as she jumped roof to roof. The young girl pursuing a spider-like Kaijin who was running most erratically in the empty streets below.
"Jinrai Shinobi Change!"
The Kaijin suddenly stopped. Turning and letting out a yell, seeing a crimson blur dance around in the sky. Lightning striking next to the Kaijin, causing him to yell as he fell onto his back. When he looked forward again he noticed that the crimson blur--no longer a blur--stood over him. The figure crouched, uttering a bit of a sadistic giggle. "Now, how long were you thinking you could run from me..? That's rude y'know, to run from a girl." She scolded, wagging a finger, "But its okay, I'll forgive you..." The spider-like Kaijin perked at this, seeming confused.
"...In death~" Before he could react, the Kaijin felt something press against its face. Sayumi held her Horn Breaker up to him, smiling innocently beneath her helmet as she wrapped her finger around the trigger of the Horn Breaker.
"Sa~yo~na~ra~" She sang out as she squeezed the trigger and emptied a few shots, which roar echoed throughout the night. No words or sounds being made from the Kaijin as his head was blasted apart, Sayumi standing up straight as she stared down upon the corpse of the Kaijin turning away, resting her Horn Breaker at her side.
"Time to go home."
