Zanki simply gave an aged yet hearty laugh. "Its quite alright, young one." He closed his eyes, "You represent the new generation of Oni, thus new standards for our kind are being set. I'm just a relic who's too persistent to call it quits--I still have two things to accomplish."

Zanki nodded, "Aye. All Oni's are born of Makamou blood, at least the kind of Oni's that you and I are." He told her, "I apologize if I'm confusing you with my previous words, I'm not used to communicating with fellow Oni anymore." He explained.

"I see... I wonder if it could've been..." Zanki's voice trailed off, he simply gave a laugh. "I'm sorry for questioning you. Its a rarity to encounter another like myself. I'd say its an interesting thing--to see the Oni's who will continue after I must turn in and 'retire'." Zanki closed his eyes, smiling.

"I see, well looks like I ended up giving 'ya one target less. My bad." Zanki chuckled some, "I should warn you though, although these woods are one of many Oni Training Grounds, sometimes we get some uninvited guests who trample on by." Zanki warned, "Unless you already knew that."
