Overview: Rhett is a bit of an enigma. He's very social, a very gregarious person, but he has periods when he just needs solitude. He's usually quite a friendly person, but at times, he turns into a complete antisocial dickmuffin. He's pretty much addicted to coffee, and due to his large intake, he's pretty much tweaking 24/7, or at least it seems like due to the amount of excess energy he has. He fancies himself a womanizer, and often plays his keytar in clubs as a way to earn some extra cash. He also has extreme trypanophobia (fear of needles) due to a bad childhood experience. As such, he can’t get shots.
Hero Stuff
Name: GaoWing
Type Of Hero: Gaoranger
Henshin Device: The G-Brace, a wrist-worn device. It's a flat, gold metal bracelet that reaches from his wrist to about halfway down his forearm. The outside is decorated with a large stylized hawk head stretching the length of the brace, with green jewels for eyes. On the inside is a keypad not unlike a phone.
Henshin Sequence: He yells, "Gao Access!" and hits 4-2-6-Enter, causing the eyes on the brace to flash and the brace to glow. A spectral version of the hawk breaks off from the brace, crying then it turns into a mist, which forms into the GaoWing armor. Then this form "shatters", revealing a transformed Rhett as GaoWing.
Forms:
- Form Name: GaoWing
Image/ Description: Helmet design is similar to GaoYellow, but there are two short pronounced wing-like protrusions on the sides. His armor is mostly gold, similar in basic design to GaoYellow but with the same hawk head that appear on his brace as the chest insignia. The G-Brace has turned into a bracer, and there's a matching bracer on his other arm, as well as greaves and shoulder pads, all a dull gold color.
Motif: Birds, Hawk,
Color Scheme: Gold, Dull gold, White, Black
Transformation: See above
Fighting Style: He uses a very acrobatic style, flipping and bouncing off of things. He really has no specific propensity for close or long range weapons, so he switches off between the two fairly often.
Weapons: The Hawken, a long, straight sword with a double-edged gold blade and a white and gold hand guard designed like a pair of outspread wings. He can dock his Juuohken in the hand guard to allow him to channel the power of a Beast Jewel through the Hawken. He can also pull of feathers to use as exploding darts.
Abilities: In addition to his natural enhanced abilities, he has larger versions of GaoYellow's wings, the feather tips go from his hips to his wrists. Through concentration, he can actually use the wings separately from his arms, allowing him to wield other weapons. He can maintain this for about 30 minutes on it's own, or longer if he sporadically uses it and rests.
Finisher(s): Hawk Sweep- Performed with the Hawk Jewel and the Juuohken docked in the Hawken, the blade extends infinitely and he cleaves the enemy in half.
Crown Kill- Performed with the Crown Jewel and the Juuohken docked, the blade extends and he goes for a stab.
Sparrow Winger- Performed with the Sparrow Jewel and the Juuohken alone, he leaps into the air, extends his wings and swoops toward the enemy, cleaving them in half with the Juuohken.
Angel Crash- His ultimate finisher, he docks the Juuohken, puts in the Hawk Jewel and gathers all of his power. The Crown and Sparrow Jewels float up and float next to the Hawken as it begins to glow. He uses his wing-separation technique, and drops from the sky, cleaving them in half. He can use this technique to kill powerful enemies, but he is forced out of transformation when he finishes.

GaoCrown’s wings and tail pop off, the wings combining into a sword and the tail serving as a shield, while the rest of Crown straightens out and splits near the bottom, forming the legs. The saber-like attachments on Sparrow’s wings are popped off and reattached to the forearms, while the rest of the small bird folds into a helmet.
Motif: Birds, Robot
Abilities: Can fly with Hawk’s wings, the shield is fairly sturdy, and if the sword and shield are lost or fail, he has claws to fall back on.
Finisher(s): Spirit Slasher- Charges energy into the sword for a super-powered cut
Other Equipment:
- His very, very, very well-used travel mug.
- A messenger bag which he keeps several notebooks and pencils in which he records the names, abilities and appearances of all of the Gao Animals the team collects. He also keeps his Gao Jewels in there.
- His keytar. It may not travel well, but dammit, it draws in the fairer sex like moths to a porch light.
History
Rhett was raised in a single parent household with his mother, who was a heroin addict and was never really there for Rhett. He was truly raised by his neighbor, Seymour Hawkins, an old man who had been a band director for the local high school in his younger years, but in his golden year, had developed a passion for hawking. He taught Rhett everything a good parent should have taught him, including basic morals. He went home as a young child to often find his mother passed out with dirty needles scattered around the apartment. Eventually, at Seymour’s request, he moved in with the older man, since his actual home was not in any way fit for a 6 year old child. This high presence of needles also planted the seeds of what would grow into adult Rhett’s full-blown trypanophobia. His mother died of an overdose about two weeks later, and Rhett was adopted by his aunt and her husband at the age of 7.
Rhett developed an interest in music at a young age, about 2 months after he moved in with his aunt. He moved through a few instruments before seeming to settle, to his aunt’s slight dismay, on the keytar, a relatively new instrument, and as such, there weren’t many people willing to teach a 7-year-old how to play it. So, he taught himself, eventually forming his own band that he dubbed “Ice Flower” and began to tour in his 8th grade year. After his band had been performing for a year, after a concert, his old mentor Seymour showed up again. He told Rhett he had contracted terminal leukemia, and was dying. His last wish was to teach Rhett all he knew about birds, which he did in four months before dying. He left Rhett all of his hawking materials and notes in his will.
In his ninth grade year, he disbanded Ice Flower and started a hawking club at his school. He found he seemed to have a natural gift with birds, as some people said he could almost speak to them. He found a hawk with a broken wing on the side of the road, and nursed it back to health in a month and half, which was record time according to the local vet. At this point, his aunt and her husband started getting a little nasty with each other and divorced within six months. She remarried quickly to a man who taught sword combat, and he gave Rhett free lessons in the basics. Rhett took to swords almost naturally as well, and soon could hold his own against his new father figure. However, due to this new marriage also getting kind of rocky and his needs to mange his schools shockingly popular hawking club, he broke it off. He kept his skills up in what little free time he had though.
When he was 18, his aunt divorced and remarried again, to another guy who brought a kid with him, a little exploratory runt named Camden. However, he left to go to Juilliard on a 2-year scholarship due to his keytar and music-writing skills. Due to the insane workload, he developed a bit of a coffee addiction. He wrote it off by saying at least it wasn’t Adderall. He also witnessed a few Org attacks on the news, but never thought it would affect him. However, it did exactly that when he was attacked by the Guitar Org. He was cornered in a large park-like area when he felt a strange presence, almost telepathically. He’s not certain what happened next, but about 20 seconds later, the ground tore asunder and a massive silver hawk rose out. It gave him the Hawk Jewel and the Hawken, and Rhett managed to chase the Guitar Org away. GaoHawk told him about his compatriots, Crown and Sparrow, who were asleep in other places. He spent the next day traveling to these places, awakening both GaoSparrow and GaoCrown. At this point, Ryuga Tatsugami entered into his life, giving him the G-Brace and the Juuohken. About five minutes later, a giant version of the Guitar Org appeared and Rhett went right to work, transforming into GaoWing, forming GaoSpirit and utterly pwning the Org in record time, mere seconds. He dropped out of Juilliard at Ryuga’s request, keeping his addiction to coffee, and began traveling around with the group.

Anything Else:
OOC Name: Ben
Name Color EEC900
Number Of Stars 3
Color Of Stars Yellow
Sample RP: Rhett sat leaning against a rock, chilling, notebook out. He was writing down some new info he had learned about Ryuga’s dragons. Specifically, their proper names. Up until now, he had called them “Fish”, “Dragon 1” and “Dragon 2”.
“You really didn’t have anything more creative than that?” Hawk asked him telepathically. It wasn’t anywhere nearby, but it could see for miles.
“I am not smart when it comes to nicknames. Don’t judge me.” Rhett fired right back. Hawk was silent.
“Thought so.” Rhett yelled, deciding to forgo telepathic communication to emphasize his point.
“That was unnecessary.” Hawk replied.
“Just emphasizing the point, feathered one. Go preen or whatever it is you do when I’m not watching.” Rhett replied.
