Kaori, still in her school uniform, was hanging around in the family graveyard. She was on her knees, watching a daddy long legs walk across a freshly buried grave.
"Come little friend," she whispers to the spider, "Come and play with me."
She felt a bit lonely, but it was a cloudy afternoon - with a chance of heavy rain, she couldn't let a little loneliness keep her spirits down. She always enjoyed the rain. The empty sky was no longer empty like it usually was. The sky cried and sometimes Kaori felt like crying with it.
Those girls were mean to her again today. Always mean to her. Stealing her things and the false love notes. Always the false love notes. She was sick and tired of it.
She looks from the spider to the bracelet on his arm. It made her happy. It made her special. She liked being special. Oh so very special, indeed.
And she believed she was the only one.

Ayumi sighed as she looked up to the sky, another Sailor Scout arose again, that was surprising since she just met Tsuki a week ago. She wondered who it would be this time and what she would be like, she followed the energy signal as she also felt sadness and pain from it as she grimaced. She would need to work with this girl as well like she did with Sae, that didn't matter to her...she liked helping people, as she approached a graveyard of sort as she saw a lone girl there.
She respectfully walked past the graves as she slowly approached her before kneeling beside her, seeing the spider, "Do you like spiders?" she asked softly.

Kaori is unsettled by the sudden appearance of some girl in her father's graveyard after all that self-loathing, but she quickly decides to have a little fun with her.
"I sure do," she picks up the spider with her tong, "How about you?"
In one swift motion, she flings the spider onto Ayumi and watches, gleefully, as it dances across her shoulder.

Most girls would have reacted badly, shrieking and throwing the spider away, no doubt most would have disliked the girl immediately. However not Ayumi, instead Ayumi caught the spider and giggled a bit, "Hello Mr Spider, how are you today?" she asked playfully.

Kaori frowns, "You're no fun." She grabs the spider off Ayumi and gently places it into a glass jar.

"Did you expect me to act like other girls?" Ayumi asked innocently, "That won't happen...I've seen plenty of spiders in my family shrine," she said, "can I ask what you are doing in a graveyard though?"

"My family owns this graveyard. That's our house over there." She points to a large creepy looking house on the far side of the property. There are many local legends about it being haunted by malicious spirits.

"Ah...yes I've heard of that house before, it's supposed to be haunted, but I don't that's true," Ayumi said, "I can't sense any spirits in that house...not like that house over there," she said pointing to a normal looking house, "that's haunted by a spirit of an old man who doesn't like people shouting."

"Our house is haunted....by me," Kaori laughs, "Many of those rumors were made to spite me. So you can sense spirits, huh? Cool."

Ayumi frowned, "That is no way to treat another person," she said, "I'm sorry that you went through such a sad time." Ayumi nodded, "I can, I am a Shinto Priestess, one of the few true priestess left in this modern world, so yes I can see spirits and talk to them sometimes."

Ayumi giggled, "Well if you want to I'm sure there's a spirit or two who wants to talk to me," she said with a smile.

Kaori stands up and spins around with her pointer finger out, "Take your pick. We're in a graveyard. There should be tons of restless spirits around here!"

Ayumi chuckled, "True right?" she said as she then pegged a spirit of an old man and began having a conversation with him while pausing now and again relaying what was being said to Kaori.
