“Amazing, look at this inscription,” Tanya exclaimed as her fingers traced the carvings on the Mayan ruin, her eyes shining with anticipation and excitement, it never fails to make her blood boil whenever she saw a piece of history that no one had ever seen before. Thousands of archaeologists would give their soul to be in the same position Tanya was in now, if she revealed this ruin to the world it would create an even more detailed history of the Mayan culture. Who knew that their sacrificial rituals had more then just superstition? What if there really were living Gods thousands of years ago? What if they were still alive?
“We should get out of here soon,” one of the aides said, “the locals says its cursed.”
“That’s just a warning for people long ago, I doubt there are anything here that can harm us,” Tanya said with a chuckle.

"You're good at this," Jack said, coming into the area. He wanted to check on her, and how her searching was going. It never ceased to impress her on how easily it seemed she located some of these treasures.

"Oh hello sir," Tanya replied to her boss, Jack had the habit of checking up on his own digs just to make sure everything was running smoothly, however she sometimes wondered if that wasn't just what he was here doing. Sometimes she wondered if he was here to apprise the various artefacts that were found in these kinds of ruins, "thank you, I try my best in uncovering such tombs."

"You succeed very much so," he said, walking towards her, "Anything interesting?"

"Not much so far, just some inscriptions, I'll expect we'll encounter traps. The inscriptions hinted towards that, though of course it was speaking in riddles like always, but I'm sure if we're careful we can disarm or avoid them altogether," Tanya said.

He nodded, "We're professionals, after all."

"Indeed," Tanya said as she went back to the inscription trying to make sense of it all, "seems there's a hidden door that bypass all the traps, of course there's an ancient lock on it so we'll need to unlock it," she said as she cautiously went to another wall and began scouring the place for the hidden passage.

"That would be ideal, avoid it all," he said, "Any idea about what we might be looking for, in regards to how to find that door?"

"Well apparently there's a symbol that is hidden among all these symbols, so basically finding a needle in a stack of needles, however it shouldn't take too long for me to find out which one it is," Tanya muttered half to herself and half to Jack.

"I'll help," he said, going to the other side of the room.

"Thanks," Tanya said though she was pretty sure that the passage was here, somewhere, she just needed to find one symbol, one symbol that'll open it up, she then found it as she pressed it. It depressed in before a section of the wall slid away revealing a passage.

Tanya simply smiled as she turned on her torch and went into the passageway, "Are you going to come sir? Or would you prefer waiting here?" she asked.

"I'm coming," he said, "And no need to call me 'sir'," he told her.

"Very well then sir- I mean Mr Drake," Tanya said as she proceeded through the passageway, "please be cautious, there could still be traps around here."
