When morning came, Koyomi went back to try to find him, with a new dress on, hair a bit of a disarray since she had nothing like a comb to use.

He is laying on the couch, still sleeping, easy enough to spot. He doesn't look like he's slept well.

She didn't mean to be a disturbance, but she approached him and reached her hand out, brushing it gently over his heart.

She could read his conflicted feelings. He didn't want to be a bother to her, yet he was attracted to her for more than just her looks. His senses had felt the depth of her loneliness, and his heart had reached out to her. Yet...he didn't say a word, and kept it all bottled up inside.

She withdrew her hand from him and stood there, looking down at him for a few moments before going and sitting down somewhere nearby to wait for him.

It would not be too much longer before he woke up, feeling strangely more peaceful than he remembered....and he sat up slowly, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

She looked at him, "I'll be leaving as soon as you're ready for me to. Thank you for the bed for at least one night," she told him.

Kai nods. "You are welcome, I'm glad you were able to sleep well. Being huddled up out in the cold can't have been good for you." He gave, ignoring the part about leaving right off.

He nodded, mentally wincing a little. How could those other people relegate her to just a couch? Kai leaned back against his own couch, thankful he'd used it.

Kai sighs a little at hearing that. "Can you blame me?" he asked finally, in a lower, serious tone. "You're a beautiful girl who happens to have magical talent as well. Am I supposed to ignore the loneliness that cries out for closure? Well, I can't. I feel like I want to see you smile....that you deserve to smile, that you deserve better than what you've gotten so far. That emptiness of yours, if you can't fill it by yourself, maybe with someone's help you can fill it."
