Impostor (Godspeed)

[Michelle Haley]

"I'll be taking these." The monster said, pulling the Speed Braces off of Michelle's wrists. Michelle would have protested, but she had some all-too-familiar duct tape wrapped around her head, as well as around her chest under her breasts, her wrists, knees and ankles.
"This is going to be a fun day." The monster said, before snapping it's fingers. It's form changed to look exactly like Michelle, but with one difference: a choker necklace with a black gem set right where her Adam's apple was. She snapped the Braces onto her wrists, and turned to leave. "Ciao!" She said, closing the door and leaving Michelle in the basement of the school building, where no one would hear her, and walked up to join the normal school day in Michelle's place.

Ryan walked around the hall, going to his locker between classes. He wasn't giving much thought to anything really for now, just getting his things and going on.

Fake Michelle simply wandered through the halls. She looked through some of Michelle's books and found a schedule, mentally breathing a sigh of relief. The girl was all but directly helping her impersonate her. She considered going back to add some more restraints, maybe humiliate the girl a little bit, but the bell marking five minutes until the next period rang.
"After this. Definitely." The monster with Michelle's face thought to herself, smiling.

Michelle strained against the tape. The sounds of the various machines in the basement muffled her cries for help through the tape over her mouth, and even then, no one outside was going to hear her.

He left his locker and headed on, not really thinking about Michelle after the other day had gone so poorly.

The real Michelle leaned back against a wall and got to thinking. About that note she had written, saying she was sorry. She was going to go put it into his locker when he wasn't there, but the impostor had grabbed her. That note was still tucked into the pile of books now in the possession of the fake.

The fake Michelle walked into the real Michelle's next class and established close to the back, preparing to pretend to take notes.

Ryan walked into the same room and moved to the front to sit with someone he talked to on occasion. He was happy she was in the back, so he wouldn't have to look at her.

As the fake Michelle sifted through her counterpart's books, she found the note. She chuckled softly to herself and stuffed the letter back into the pile. She wasn't feeling quite that cruel today. However, she did have other plans for the note.

The real Michelle had shifted to a kneeling position and was reaching for the tape around her ankles, in an attempt to peel it off.

After class, Ryan had nothing for another hour or so. He didn't want to go home or to the base, so he was going to hang around campus for a while, heading off to one of the lounges.

The fake Michelle had had her fun, leaving the real Michelle in a far more... interesting, position. Also, a lot more duct tape had been used. She wandered into the same lounge as Ryan and got herself something to drink, sitting down somewhat close to Ryan. She knew of their little falling-out due to the note, so she wanted to have some fun with this before revealing Michelle.

Ryan ignored her. It took some effort to, but he felt he accomplished it as he read a book, turning a little so he couldn't even see her in his peripheral vision by using the book to cover her.

She smirked. Ryan was obviously uncomfortable sitting so close to her. She fiddled with the gem on her necklace, and it began to shine faintly and change colors for a moment before settling back to black. Although, this stubborn ignorance might be a problem if she were to lure him somewhere private and kill him.

He focused on keeping her out of his sight, having absolutely no desire to see her.

Fake Michelle was getting annoyed. She needed a way to get his attention, and she needed it fast. She wanted to go ahead and eliminate the threat of this member of the team so that it only left 3 to go. She began thinking of ways to get his attention.

He continued to simply read. He hoped she'd leave before he did so he didn't have to deal with her.

Fake Michelle muttered and stood, walking towards the door. Right before she left the mostly empty lounge, she grabbed a cheap calculator someone had abandoned on a table and chucked it at Ryan, aiming to knock the book out his hands and hopefully make him mad.
