She tried to parry, but moved too late and the sword pierced into her throat. She gurgled, and died.
Having a letter taped to your forehead was an interesting experience, as Michelle was learning.

He tore the sword free and stabbed a few more times, giving out shouts with each. Shouts of anger.

He thrust his sword into its body instead of holstering it. He walked towards her and gently took the envelope off, opening and reading it.

It was somewhat lengthy, but it was mostly Michelle apologizing for what she had said at dinner. She mentioned how she was somewhat ashamed that she wasn't brave enough to give it to Ryan herself, which is why she had put it in his locker (although it had turned out a little differently, but had still ended with Michelle not directly delivering the letter). Being blinded, she was unable to see his reaction, which made her a little nervous.

He stood there reading it a few times, before he dropped it and started working on the tape around her eyes. It felt better to have read that, at least. He'd rather talk to her than have a letter, though, but it was a start.

Michelle blinked as the tape was removed from her eyes, and grimaced as the tape came off of her hair.

He had kept his helmet on. He thought that would say a lot without having to speak. He worked on the tape around her mouth.
