The life of a shinobi was only something that Yami had ever known, from when she was little she had been taught how to be a shinobi, how to be the Emperor's sword and nothing else. She had led a life of loneliness and a life of no normalcy or any friends, she had accepted that she would be alone for the rest of her life and that she would never experience the feeling of what it was like to have someone to care about.
However that changed completely when she met Sayumi and Reina, now she felt like she had a responsibility to those two, a duty to protect them and guide them, it was something that was foreign to her, but at the same time it made her feel so happy, she did something she never done before, as she hugged Sayumi and brought her closer to her as she kissed the top of her head, "I know," she whispered, "I know how that feels...to bottle all those emotions up, to never show anything, that was how I was taught...for a while I was emotionless, never showing anything. But that nearly tore me apart and I've only recently know how to express my emotions in an appropriate way, but you...well you can pour everything to me and I wouldn't be anything but a friend to you. Both you and Reina have become something of subordinates, I feel like I should protect you while at the same time nurturing you into great shinobis...I will always do that for you two, I will do anything in order for you two to become powerful."

Sayumi felt her cheeks grow hot when Yami pecked the top of her head. She nodded her head slowly, "T-thank you. I couldn't ask for anyone else to play that role than you, Yami-chan." She spoke out, moving her hands she clung onto Yami, enjoying the warmth of being next to her. It felt nice. Sayumi closed her eyes as he relaxed, feeling her worries fade for the time being.
"I promise, I'll grow strong, I won't let your help to us go in vain. Reina-chan and I will become powerful Shinobi and we'll bring the Ikazuchi-Arashi Clan back to greater heights than it was before. Then... when I'm ready, I'll challenge you, and we'll see who's truly the better Shinobi." She giggled.
'Although quite honestly... If I fought Yami, and ended up losing... I don't think I'd mind, I don't think I would one bit.'

Yami smiled as Sayumi clung to her as she reciprocrated the feeling, wanting nothing more then to comfort the girl, "Your welcome Sayumi-chan...I am happy to play this role for you and Reina," she whispered.
Yami nodded, "I know, I know you will both become powerful shinobis, and your clan will become one of the greatest clans of all. It is always a good thing to see a clan become better then it was before, and as for that challenge? Well...I will always look forward to that day, always, it would be a good way to test my skills to the limit," she said with a smile as she hugged the girl more.

Sayumi giggled, "Right, I can say the same for myself. Don't think I'll be going easy on you, just because your a pretty face, Yami-chan~" She giggled out. "Even if I lose, I want to prove that I've come a long way, so you'll be proud of me."

"And I don't epect you to go easy on me, I'm going to use everything at my disposal to fight you and I expectyou to do the same when the time comes," Yami said as she then smiled, "whatever the outcome will be as long as you fight me with everything you got then I will be proud of you."

Sayumi nodded, "Then I'll be sure to not disappoint." She giggled. "I only want to pay you back for everything that you've done for me--for Reina as well." She confessed, "You're doing so much to help us."

Sayumi smiled, she turned and looked at Yami. "Then... I'm glad I can be apart of your happiness, Yami-chan." She told her, smiling warmly, "I used to think that... Reina-chan would be the only other whom I could rely on, whom I could care about, but it looks like I've met another who I can feel for. Someone who I can also trust." She told her.

Yami nodded knowing what it was like to have very few people to truly trust, "I can understand that, being a shinobi I thought that you should always be wary of people, never trusting people completely. That you can only rely on yourself, however I understand now that you need people to also trust, someone to rely on when things get tough. I can say with 100% certainty that those people are you and Reina, it seems we both feel the same way," she said with a smile.

Sayumi smiled, she was about to say something when the thunder outside boomed and roared. The lights flickered before going out, Sayumi hopping as she ended leaning into Yami more--a bit of a reaction. "B-bah!" She yelped out, she wasn't scared by the power outage, its just she was so into the moment that well--it managed to catch her off guard.
"S-sorry, I didn't mean to yell..." She apologized in a bit of a squeak.

Yami couldn't help but laugh, "For the shinobi of thunder I didn't think you would be so scared of it," she teased though secretly she liked the fact that Sayumi had leaned more into her, she was lucky that there had been a power outage since she blushed a bit when that happened.

"I'm not scared of the thunder! It just caught me off guard." She looked to the side puffing her cheeks. "It could've happened to anyone--I'm sure Reina-chan would have squealed." She was too busy proclaiming how she wasn't scared that she didn't realized she had put pressure on Yami with her body.

"Hmm really? I guess I was wrong then," Yami said as she smiled at Sayumi's puffed up face thinking how cute it was, why was she such a sucker for cute faces? "Then perhaps you can explain why you're still leaning into me if you're not scared of the thunder?" she asked.

"...B-because, you're warm... and soft... It feels nice." Sayumi admitted, closing her eyes and smiling. "If you didn't disliked it, I figured you would've made me get off by now." She sang out in a small melodic tune--exercising the fact she was an Idol.

Yami shrugged a little at that, "It was nice I have to admit..." she said as she wrapped her arm around the girl's body, "so tell me Sayumi...what do you do when you're not on the job?" she asked curiously.
