A Day In Japan [Open]

An hour later, Edgar had successfully accompanied the pedestrians he had been assigned home, finally walking back to the park, wiping sweat from his brow. "A day's work..." he whispered to himself as he sat down on the grass.

[Takeo/ZO]

Takeo was busy escorting the last of the people out of the south side. "Alright, people, just stay calm and you'll be out of here in no time. Hey, you in the back! No shoving. You can wait a few seconds."

Meanwhile, Hitomi was already done escorting the people from the east side. She went to the south side and caught up with Takeo. "Hey, you done with your side?" "Yeah, just finished. The park's clear. Looks like that Fangire was the only one nearby."

Edgar, mean while, stretched himself out on the grass, relaxing his sore muscles from a day of exercising, fighting, and escorting. He had almost fallen asleep, but kept himself awake out of fear of waking up in another place again.

"Alright, our good deeds for the day are done." "Let's see if the north and west sides are clear." Takeo and Hitomi headed towards the north side first., seeing Edgar stretched out on the grass. "Hey, the park's clear. We haven't seen any more Fangires around."

"Good," Edgar said quietly as he got up and looked over to Takeo and Hitomi. "Anything else we should take care of before we grab dinner?" he asked them.

[Takeo/ZO]

Hitomi thought for a second, saying "No, I don't think so." She looked toward Takeo and said "Anything else we need to do?" "Nah, I think we're good, but there is one more thing." Takeo looked towards Edgar and said "You still haven't told us who you are."

"I'm just a passing through teacher with a rumbling stomach," he said, rustling through his pockets and finding a decent amount of money in there. "And it looks like dinner is my treat today. Know of any tasty places nearby?"

[Takeo/ZO]

Takeo was puzzled by Edgar's answer, and while he was trying to figure it out, Hitomi said "Yeah, there's a place nearby, just down the street." She walked off in the direction of the restaurant, turning around to see Takeo still in thought. "Takeo-kun, hurry up!" Takeo was snapped out of his thought. "Uh, sorry." He walked beside Hitomi, still a little bit suspicious of Edgar.

Edgar followed the two, pocketing his money as he looked around. "Y'know, I really wish I could come to Japan more often," he noted.

"Then why don't you? If you like it here, why don't you just buy a house or rent an apartment?"

[Edgar Bookston]

"I'm afraid that not only is that financially hard, but in my case it'd be nearly impossible for me to be here often," Edgar said thoughtfully as he stopped walking for a moment. "That's not to say I don't want to, I just... Well..."

[Takeo/ZO]

Hitomi interrupted, saying "You just have a demanding job? Sort of the same deal with my dad. He's a real famous scientist. Have you heard of Dr. Ippei Miyauchi?"

[Edgar Bookston]

"I think I might've heard the name in passing," Edgar said, looking at Hitomi. "Any famous experiments?"

[Takeo/ZO]

"Miyauchi-Hakase is a genius in the field of cell research and repair. He theorized the reason a lizard can regenerate its tail if its ever removed. He says there's a unique factor in the lizards cells that allow for its regeneration. He also theorized that a hybrid between two species can be created by imbuing the DNA of one species into the DNA of another, creating an entirely new species."

"The creator of the bi-species theory is your father?" Edgar asked, clearly impressed. "I've taught that lesson before at a college for cash, it's a very impressive theory."
