McKenzie landed after dropping off of a fire escape, opening her jacket to look at the diamond ring she had stored inside. The band was nice enough. She would just split it and sell the diamond and band separately, over a time, so it wasn't going to be as easy to get back to her. She slid it back into her jacket and walked down the night street of London, going home. Outfit

Nathan stood on a nearby rooftop, seeing further with his remodeled eyes. He saw McKenzie and the diamond...and smirked a little. So...this beautiful, meek person that was a painter in the daytime, moonlighted as a beautiful thief? Now this piqued his interest as well, despite the manner of their last meeting...

She walked alone in the darkness of night, pulling out the ring after a bit and looking at it. She didn't think she could get the diamond off of it yet. She'd have to do that at home.

He leaped from roof-top to roof-stop silently, unintentionally following what he had been made to be....a weapon that stalks prey. Though his mind was still in full control....after leaping to the next roof-top, he stood at the edge, looking down. "My....what a fated meeting." he said, looking down to her.

She stopped and looked up at him, "Nathan...," she said softly, surprised to see him.

He jumped down, landing near her, the pavement cracking as he did so. "McKenzie." he gave, in greeting. "I wouldn't have expected anything like this. Black suits you...and you've succeeded in surprising and impressing me."

"Anything like what?" she questioned. Was he following her? Or...what exactly? How much did he know? How did he know? Following came to mind again.

"The diamond. Though I don't feel like telling on you." Nathan gave. "The black suit....where you came from. I was restless...and feeling rather hurt after our last meeting. So I was out, enjoying the night sky from the roof-tops, when I saw your lovely face."

"And you happened to find me?" she asked.

Nathan shrugged. "I was in the area. I had no reason to be there...I just was." he said softly. "But, I saw you."

"For one, I'm going to advise you to put the diamond back in your coat." he said in a low tone. "Secondly, I am going to walk you home, and then leave if you want me to leave."

She slid it back, "Sure," she said, not sure how she felt about that.

Nathan nodded, walking near her, but not close to her, not making any moves to extend his hand or anything. He'd learned his lesson.

She looked at him as they walked, remembering last time. She looked down, "I'm sorry," she said softly.
