Ayumi expected this though she still couldn't hold a laugh, "Hmm let me think...I don't think so, this is a sacred area so all the houses are protected from evil spirits and all that. But I suppose we can have a walk around the edges of the protection area to see what we find," she said.

"Ok hold on, let me drop my bags," Ayumi said, "give me your bag as well, we can come back here when you wanna go home," she said as she went and dropped both of their bags before taking Kaori's hand, "come on then."
After a while walking around the edges of the protective barrier Ayumi noticed a haunted house as she tilted her head, "Let's go over there, I can sense a dark aura coming from there, I don't think it's dangerous though but stick close to me 'kay?" she told Kaori.

The closer that they approached the place the intense the aura became, Ayumi wondered what kind of evil befell this place once, she was becoming more hesitant in letting Kaori come here...she should've chosen that place where an old man's spirit resided, even if he was rude it would be loads better then what she was facing now, "I have a bad feeling about this, I think it's safer to go back...I don't like us coming here," she said as she turned.
But before she could get Kaori out of the area hands made of darkness grabbed Ayumi as she yelped and was dragged into the house as she used her spiritual power to try and fight back, "Run Kaori-chan! Get away from here!" she screamed out.

"Ayumi-chan! Don't worry i'll save you!"
She had no time to hesitate or run. She had to save Ayumi. They hadn't been together long enough to part ways now!
She lifts up her arm, the Jewelery Star Bracelet gleaming with power.
“Venus Power, Make Up!”
Kaori isn't afraid of anything - she's Sailor Venus!
"In the name of Love," she rushes into the house after Ayum to grab her handi, "I will punish you!"

"Kaori-chan?" Ayumi exclaimed as the dark shadow then burst out as the shadows turned into blades to cut Kaori in half, "No!"

"Don't underestimate me! I've been practicing ever since Ayumi-chan and i first met!"
Two crescent moons collide above her head before she raises her right index finger up to touch them. She lowers her right arm to point at the shadow as her left arm came to rest on her elbow, she then shoots a beam of light from her index finger.
"Crescent Beam!"

The darkness vanished as the blades were destroyed by the light, the darkness seemed to roar in anger as it formed into some sort of demonic creature. It then formed a fist as it tried to crush Kaori under it.

Kaori quickly rolled out of the way. She felt strong after transforming - like she could take on the whole world! And she would if that world threatened Ayumi!
"Venus Love-me Chain!"
The beads around her sailor outfit glow before leaving her body to form a chain of golden energy that swirled around her. She points at the creature as the chain of light whips at it, furiously.

The chains whipping at the darkness made it roar in anger as it tired to swat it away, it was because of this that it dropped Ayumi as she dropped to the ground and quickly rolled away as she groaned when her shoulder hit the ground, "Ow, ow," she muttered before quickly regaining her composure and called out, "Mars Power! Make up!" as she transformed into Sailor Mars then summoning her spiritual powers she made a ring of fires, "Fire...Mandala!" she called out as she fired several fireballs at the darkness as it roared even more before launching several dark orbs towards the Sailor Scouts as Ayumi dodged it.

"Yeah I'm fine," Ayumi said, "this is no ordinary darkness...something is wrong in this house, like some evil spirit has taken possession of it, and a strong one at that," she said, "be careful Kaori-chan."
