Well, he wasn't speaking. She took a few steps to close their distance and lifted her hand to his heart without a word, to feel for what he was to say.

Intrigued by this turn of events, he allows her to do it, diminishing his guard. She would see what he felt he was missing: A companion, or even the company of those who might understand him. She could also see that he believed her to be attractive....but it wasn't like others that had approached her. It was a genuine care about her, not just her looks. Even though he knew that she wasn't human....that didn't matter.

She drew her hand away from him, "What do you know about me?" she demanded angrily. If he knew she wasn't human, then did he know more? How did he know that?
