As night came to be, Koyomi was still there - or rather, had left to get her meager possessions in her suitcase - and had returned there. She hadn't intended on spending this much time at the pond, but she had. Now it was dark and cold, and she sat there, bundled as best as she could be, cold and alone. Tired, but she didn't want to sleep, not here.

He sat at the table...sullen as it were...and the mage shook his head. "Even if she doesn't want my help, I can at least offer a warm place to stay." he said, clapping his hands on the table as he got up, and went out again, walking back towards the place.

Her head went lower as she struggled not to sleep. The cold had gotten through to her already. It was miserable. The cold, the hunger she felt, her tiredness.

He sees her huddled up like that...and his heart goes out to her again. Kai walks up, the hood obscuring his eyes as he holds out a hand. "Oi." he says softly. "You're going to freeze if this keeps up. You may not like me, but at least accept my offer of a warm place to stay and something to eat for the night."

She looked to him, not needing any time to consider the offer. She took her suitcase into hand and accepted his with her other hand, thankful for the warmth of another person, "Thank you," she said softly.

He uses his free hand to fashion a duplicate of his long-coat, only shorter and suited to her. It appears on her, as an additional layer, and warm. "It was the right thing to do." Kai gave, leading the way back to his home.

She didn't argue, thankful for the extra warmth for the time being. She followed him without a word, slipping her hand gently from his.

Kai missed that contact, but didn't argue with that either. Instead, when they got to his home, he opened the door for her.

Kai follows her, and shuts the door behind him. "What's your name? ....you don't have to give it if you don't want to, but I'm Kai. And for my part, it's nice to meet you." he says, going into the kitchen to see what he had available.

"Very well." He says, putting together something good, some warm soup with bites of beef and vegetables in it. It'd help warm her up, and maybe help nutritionally.

She looked around a little from where she sat, feeling the warmth coming back to her from just being out of the cold.
