Jack followed his father's map through the dark twisting passages of this cave. He stopped, set his lantern on the rock, and looked at the map. Up ahead? He wasn't sure. He was new to this entire process.
He started to walk onwards, lighting the way, searching for this 'Precious'. He wished his suit was finished, just in case it was hard for him, like if there was a cave-in. But he'd get by.
As he stumbled through a smaller passage, he saw a rock pedestal sitting up ahead in the clearing. A small gem sat on it, giving off its own glow, even in the dark cave.
Jack hurried for it. His search was over! This was it! He reached out, taking grip of the Precious.

"Halt." A voice boomed, as a collection of golden energy that created the shape of a figure stood in opposition of Jack. "Whom wanders towards the Altar of the Precious?" The voice questioned; solidifying its left forearm, it extended out and grasped Jack's wrist before it could touch the Precious. "Those of anything less than a noble heart aren't allowed to touch the Precious."

Jack was startled by the spirit's appearance, turning quickly to look at the golden clad figure, "Who are you?" he questioned in surprise.

"I am the one who protects the Precious. The incarnation of the Precious' will to be protected. I am the Golden Spirit." The Spirit spoke out as it held onto Jack's wrist.

"Yes, I am." The Golden Spirit responded. The rest of it solidifying before him. "Even if one is pure of heart I cannot simply allow the Precious to begin to be removed from their shrines, they must remain!" He proclaimed.

"The Precious possess capabilities too vast for Humankind to understand, to allow them into your common world will only stir upon Chaos as the Greed of Humans once again becomes great." The Golden Spirit explained, "I am protecting these Precious not only because they will me too, but because it is for the common good of all."
