Hotaru glanced towards Yami, her eyes narrowing slightly. "What do you want...?" she asked, standing up and turning towards her, hands in pockets.

Yami smiled a bit as she stopped, "I'm simply wondering what you were doing spying on us? How did you know that we would have a 'meeting' there?" Yami asked.

Hotaru just shrugged a bit, "I heard some people talking about it, that's all. I may be excluded, but I'm not oblivious..." she said, before glancing behind her towards the other ninjas. "I was just curious on who would show up..."

"There aren't a lot of people talking about our meeting, I only invited a few shinobis, testing one of the new clans to see if they're up to scratch," Yami said as she looked Hotaru up and down, "your curiosity could've gotten you killed...I could have easily pegged you as an enemy shinobi coming here to harm one of my charges."

"The fear of death doesn't scare me." Hotaru told, looking back towards her. "...I seem to take notice that you're quite fond of one of those idol girls..." she commented, having seen her signs of affection towards Sayumi.

Yami smiled at that, "Ah...a brave statement, atypical of shinobis," she said having heard the same statement over and over again, "however can you truly say that when you are on the verge of death itself? I have known many shinobis who have said that to me only for them to beg me for mercy when the time came...I wonder if you would do the same?" she asked.
She glanced briefly at Sayumi's faint outline before looking back at Hotaru, "Indeed I am, she is an important person to me, although as one of the Higher Clans I cannot favour one clan for some reason she has become an important person to me," she said with a small shrug, "changing times," she explained simply.

"I do not have time for spats between other shinobi." Hotaru said, "It is pointless to be killed over trivial things." she elaborated. "You choose your battles, or fight only the battles that were meant for you..." she then looked at Yami as she explained her situation with Sayumi, "Indeed..." she sighed a bit, "times have certainly change..." she mumbled, glancing away a bit.

"Wisely said," Yami said, "rare these days when everyone is so hot headed," she said with a sigh, "that attitude will keep you alive for a very long time Hotaru-san," as she saw Hotaru sigh after commenting on Yami's situation with Sayumi as she looked softly at Hotaru, "I am sorry to hear about your clan...you are the only survivor no?"

Hotaru slowly nodded, before glancing at Yami. "Yes...its only me..." she mumbled, "And that's only because I have the Doron Changer..." she said, "I would be dead too...if I didn't have it..." she told her, crossing her arms. "Your condolences are a nice thing to hear...as you know, certain clans haven't reacted so...remorsefully to my situation." her stance with Yami became less tense.

"I've heard about the Doron Changer, it was one of the prized possessions of your clan, I'm glad to see that it is in your hands," she said as she approached Hotaru closer. "I know...some of the clans had been plotting your clans downfalls for decades, it is a cutthroat business you know? Is there anything I can do to help you? I can get you a safe house, some money, anything...the Haji Mon clan's stance are always neutral as we are the Emperor's must trusted, a perk of being the most powerful clan."

Hotaru looked up at her,
"You would be willing to help me..?" she seemed a bit surprised, such a powerful clan was willing to give her aid.

Yami chuckled, "Don't act too surprised, I help the weaker clans rise to the top, only to see what kind of strength they would possess in the future, case in point was the idol you saw me being affectionate with," she said, "besides...I hate to see a pretty face like you get hurt, or end up dead in a ditch somewhere."

Hotaru couldn't help but give a bit of a smile, this earned a raised eyebrow from the young shinobi. "You do not necessarily need to compliment me, as I accept either way..." she said, "...Me and my....friend would appreciate your help." she told.

"Your friend? You have someone else with you?" Yami asked as she had not seen anyone near Hotaru as she kept a careful watch around the place.

She covered her mouth a bit, hiding an amused smirk. "No...hes not here with me right now..." she told, looking at Yami. "Hes resting somewhere, I just decided to go on a little walk..." she said.
